If you are new to boating, this book will give you a general idea of what maintaining a boat is all about.
The first chapters of the book deal on the subject of exterior maintenance ( the paint and gel coat ). This is the good part with useful information. The chapters there after cover the engine and the (stern)drive. These chapters can not be used to actually do the maintenance. You will need the engine manual or a substitute from the likes of Seloc. These chapters however give a newbie a good idea of what boat maintenance is all about. Another good thing about this book are the pictures.
This book is a nice overview of boat maintenance, don't buy it as a step by step guide to actually do the boat maintenance.
