His advice, observations, and anecdotes are worth the purchase of this book, even if you don't plan to travel the Alaska Highway. His descriptions are great and the common sense approach is refreshing. We plan to take this trip in the summer of '99. Once we read the book, we were convinced that this trip was for us.
