(More customer reviews)I was interested in the book for my elementary-aged boy who is just learning to show--thank goodness we checked it out from the library first. This book has a lot of good basic information on horse shows and how to participate. While the information presented is generally gender-neutral, the book as a whole is not. The pictures almost all feature girls, the Show Story vignettes are all about girls, even the type and background colors struck my son as "girlie". This would probably be an interesting and useful book to most young equestrians--I wish they'd presented the information in a way that appealed to girls AND boys.
