(More customer reviews)I was desperate to find work when I decided to consider driving a truck. It seems that nobody wanted to give me a chance. Maybe the reason was because of my age (57) or just the lousy economy. I stopped by a truck stop and got one of those free truck mags and saw hundreds of ads for drivers. Where to begin? I got this "Secrets" book and it guided me all the way through making the decision to drive in the first place, then how to choose a school, a company, whether to drive team or solo, company or lease. The tips in the book were great and helped me to avoid trouble. The book showed me paths to avoid and paths to take to make the most money. It explained how the pay really works. For instance, what good is getting paid a lot per mile when you end up spending most of your time waiting around? So you have to find these things out before you commit. Now I am working for a company that I like. I am making good money and have found a job doing something I like. My goal is to become a trainer and eventually drive a tanker. The book is packed with the information you need to make the best trucking choices. It is definitely worth ten bucks whether you decide to drive or not.
