(More customer reviews)Trailer Trash is one of those books you read just to get a chuckle. You can't help but laugh at Anita McDonald's deadpan style of writing, especially if you've lived in a trailer house at one time or other in your life. I have, and I can relate to some of her musings. One thing I found very amusing was the fact that they had bought a trailer in order to save money, yet they tended to buy the biggest and best of everything else. McDonald takes you through some of the oddities of country living in small bites that are just right. I would say Trailer Trash is definitely worth reading!

Trailer Trash is the hilarious tale of a couple pitted against house trailer living. Tornado Alley is the locale; tall grass prairie and wilderness their surroundings. Tornados, winds and fire did little to curb their enthusiasm for country living. Anita and hubby, James, became resourceful survivalists from necessity and made the best of what they had. They found life to be funny in their pursuit of perfection in a less-than-perfect situation. Persistence and humor are their mainstays even now, as the story continues.
